CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Following their top-6 finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate, No. 49 Saint Mary's will return to the course in a two-day affair at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic hosted by San Diego.

The tournament will be played at San Diego Country Club and the action tees off on Monday, March 11 with the first and second round beginning at 8:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m, respectively. Admission to the event is free of charge.

THE FIELD
In the field, 15 teams will be competing with Texas (8) and Arizona State (9) inside the top-25 Golfstat rankings. Saint Mary's is ranked 49th inside the top-50 Golfstat rankings along with North Carolina (31), Ole Miss (48) and Arizona (50). San Diego and SMC are the only two teams in the West Coast Conference competing in the tournament.

Rounding out the field is San Diego State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, Louisiana, Nebraska and Air Force.

THE LINEUP
The Gaels lineup will utilize Blake Hathcoat, Michael Slesinski, Ethan Farnam, Ryan Grauman, Ethan Ashbrook, and Ash Hakim competing as an individual.

The tournament will be the third this season for Hakim as his last tournament was at the Bay Area Invite where he finished tied for 11th.

THE COURSE FORMAT
54-holes will be played, with 36 played on Monday, March 11th, and the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

San Diego Country Club is configured to play a long par 72 at 7,033 yards.

LAST TIME OUT
Out of 20 teams, Saint Mary's finished in sixth place with a score of 11-under at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii earlier in February. The Gaels placed ahead of WCC rival, No. 28 BYU and were just two strokes back from placing in the top-five.

Hathcoat and Slesinski have each been a key component for the Gaels this season as they both placed tied for 12th in the field of 114 with a final score of 5-under. Ashbrook also finished in the top-25 during the tournament as he finished with a 3-under.
