STOCKTON, Calif. — No. 51 Saint Mary's will travel to Stockton this week to compete in the three-day West Coast Conference Championship from Thursday to Saturday, April 25-27.

THE FIELD
The field will consist of nine teams, including two ranked opponents in the top-40: No. 17 Pepperdine and No. 36 BYU. Along with No. 51 Saint Mary's, No. 71 San Francisco and No. 84 Santa Clara rate in the top-100. Rounding out the field are Pacific, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, and San Diego.
THE LINEUP
Representing Saint Mary's at the tournament will be Blake Hathcoat, Michael Slesinski, Ethan Farnam, Ethan Ashbrook, and Ryan Grauman. The lineup consists of the same Gaels that have been utilized for every tournament this season.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Pepperdine claimed the conference title last year as they set a WCC record at 26-under with a total round score 838. The Waves were led by Clay Feagler as he earned the championship victory after shooting a 14-under with a 202 total round score.
Saint Mary's finished the championship strong last year as they finished in second place at 1-under and were led by Perry Cohen who placed second at 6-under. The finish for the Gaels was the fourth consecutive year of finishing the in the top three of the conference leaderboard.
THE COURSE
This year's course is configured as a par 72 for each round and is 7,315 yards in length for the first round, 7,133 in the second, and 7,251 in the third.
54-holes will be played, with 18-holes played each day beginning on Thursday and concluding on Saturday. Saint Mary's is set to begin the first round at 9:20 a.m on the first hole.
LAST TIME OUT
In their last tournament at the Ping Cougar Classic, Saint Mary's was led by Blake Hathcoat who tied for third place with four other competitors at 8-under. As a team, the Gaels claimed seventh place out of 15 teams with a combined 10-under. Ethan Ashbrook owned the best final round for SMC as he posted a 4-under finish to place tied for 22nd.
