

ROW | Multiple Boats Hit the Water at the San Diego Crew Classic

SAN DIEGO – In a full weekend of events at the San Diego Crew Classic, Saint Mary's rowing was highlighted by their Varsity Eights who placed third on Sunday morning.
The Gaels' Varsity Eight team finished with a time of 6:53.145 in their initial heat on Saturday and eventually placed third in final (more than seven seconds ahead of Fordham). After finishing sixth in their first heat, SMC's Second Varsity Eight improved to fourth in the final, finishing 12 seconds ahead of UC San Diego. The Gaels' Varsity Four boat placed fifth in their first heat, but them improved by more than two seconds in the final, capturing third place.
