MORAGA ,Calif. — Saint Mary's (3-4) returns home this week for a two-game set against Portland State and Montana. Friday's match against the Vikings will kick off at 3:30 p.m. while Sunday's contest begins at noon.

The Gaels have been tough to beat in Moraga this year with a perfect 3-0 record within Saint Mary's Stadium. SMC has outscored their opponents 9-2 through those three matches including a six goal outpouring against Wagner on Sep. 8.
Jaylen Crim has been a workhorse atop the Gaels' offense with four goals and two assists so far. Her 10 points puts her at sixth in the West Coast Conference and is just one shy of her career-high that she set last season.
ABOUT PORTLAND STATE
The Vikings enter Saint Mary's Stadium with an 0-7 record. PSU has faced stiff competition this fall with matches against Oregon State, Oregon, and Boise State already. After facing the Gaels on Friday, Portland State will head to Stockton to take on Pacific.
Sienna Higinbotham and Rilee Castilla have scored all four goals for the Vikings this season with two apiece. The team's offense averages 7.4 shots per game and has scored more than one goal just once this year. PSU's defense has struggled as they've allowed an average of over 23 shots per game and have ceded more two or more goals in six of their seven matches.
Saint Mary's holds a 3-0 all-time record against Portland State. The teams' last meeting was a 2-0 win for the Gaels in Portland back in 2012.
ABOUT MONTANA
The Grizzlies are 1-3-3 to begin their season and will play San Francisco before coming to Moraga. Montana has seen its share of struggles on the road thus far as they are 0-3-2 through five road matches.
The Grizzlies have scored three goals this year by three different players. Alexa Coyle leads the team with 16 shots this year including a seven shot outpouring in the team's win over Cal Poly. Claire Howard has played in all seven matches this season and owns a .744 save percentage with two clean sheets.
The Gaels are 2-0 against Montana all-time although the teams haven't met since 2005. Both previous matches were on neutral fields.
