MTEN | Gaels Head To Milwaukee for Weekend Tourney

Saint Mary's will send James Watt and Damon Kesaris to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic this weekend.
MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's men's tennis team will travel to Wisconsin this weekend for the four-day Milwaukee Classic from Sept. 20-23. Participating for the Gaels during the weekend tournament will be Damon Kesaris and James Watt.

In the tournament, there will be 20 other teams competing alongside the Gaels including: Alabama Arizona State, California, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Kentucky, Marquette, Mississippi, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Pepperine, Princeton, Purdue, San Diego, Tennessee, USC, United States Naval Academy, Virginia Commonwealth, and the host, Wisconsin.
Kesaris and Watt represented the Gaels in the team's most recent tournament at the Audi Napa Valley Classic last weekend. Kesaris advanced to the semifinals of the tournament after collecting two victories in singles action and winning the eight-man tiebreaker shootout in the quarterfinals. Watt also picked up a win on the third and final day after defeating California's Thomas Wright in a close two sets.
Last season, the duo led the Gaels' efforts as the top doubles tandem with a 4-3 overall record. Kesaris was at the forefront for SMC as he posted a 7-6 record in the top singles spot while Watt went 4-3 as the second singles seed.
