MTEN | Gaels Take Down Wolfpack, 4-2

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's (3-4) pulled through in a close match against the Wolfpack to earn their third victory of the season at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex, 4-2.

Nevada took the doubles point with tight set wins on courts 2 and 3. Both matches came down to wire with 7-5 and 6-4 decisions after Damon Kesaris and James Watt began the day with a 6-3 win as the No. 1 pair.

In singles, Kesaris made quick work of Nevada's Julien Evrard with a 6-0, 6-2 win on Court 1. Matis Bot would also win in straight sets as the No. 6 seed, 7-6(1), 6-2 and James Watt grinded out a three-set win to put the Gaels one win away from taking the match.

Nevada earned a win on Court 3 but Abishek Bastola would finish the match as he went three sets for a 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 victory.

Saint Mary's will take on UC Santa Cruz tomorrow to wrap up their weekend. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
