MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's looks to play their final regular season road game this Saturday as they will travel to Stockton to take on Pacific.

LAST TIME OUT
It was a tough road trip for the Gaels last week as the team dropped both matchups, first to BYU and then to San Diego. It was a lack of first-half points that affected Saint Mary's in both Thursday and Saturday's games, as the Gaels were unable to make the comeback in either matchup. However, SMC was able to hold BYU to just 60 points in the contest which ties the previous record of lowest opponent score in conference play. SMC looks to turn things around this week as they will travel to Stockton to play their final regular season road contest against the Pacific Tigers.

GAELS IN THE RANKINGS
Saint Mary's statistics continue to be among the best in the conference as well as rank highly across the country. The Gaels are ranked first in the West Coast Conference and 19th in the nation with an average of 29.2 defensive rebounds per game. Saint Mary's also has the highest ranked free-throw percentage in the conference (74.8) while junior Madeline Holland ranks third individually in the WCC with a free-throw percentage of 80. The Gaels continue to dominate, as they have all season, from three-point range as they are ranked first in the WCC in three-point field goals attempted (660, 10th nationally), made (242, 6th nationally), and per game (9.3, 7th nationally). The team is also ranked second in the conference and 14th in the country with a three-point percentage of 36.7.

SOPHOMORE STANDOUTS
Sophomores Sam Simons and Taycee Wedin have kept up their production all season and are still going strong with just three regular season games left to go. Both players have seen action in each of the 26 contests on the year, as Simons leads the team with a total of 894 minutes played this season that is ranked second best in the nation. Wedin (44.9) and Simons (43.0) have the second and third best shooting percentages on the team, while Wedin leads the team with a three-point shooting percentage of 46.1. Simons averages a team-best 15.4 points per contest while Wedin is close behind with an average of 12.7 per contest, good for second-most on the team.

PACIFIC
The Tigers are 14-12 on the season with a record of 7-8 in conference competition. Pacific has lost their last two contests as they fell to San Diego (66-61) last Thursday before also losing to BYU (54-65) last Saturday. The Tigers currently sit at sixth place in the conference ahead of Saint Mary's and behind Pepperdine. The team has a record of 7-3 at the Alex G. Spanos Center and earned their most recent home victory against Portland on February 8, breaking their streak of two consecutive losses at home. Last time the Gaels and the Tigers met, it was Pacific that took the win as they just barely beat out SMC 68-66 in overtime.
