
GOLF | Grauman, Farnam Lead Gaels At Lamkin Grips

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Saint Mary's is currently 11th among a talented field after two rounds at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic held at San Diego Country Club. The Gaels wrap up play tomorrow with the third and final round beginning at 8:30 a.m.
THE LEADERBOARD
Saint Mary's has two competitors in the top-10 of the 99-man field in Ryan Grauman and Ethan Farnam. Both Gaels are tied for sixth and are 2-under heading into Tuesday. Farnan managed to jump 30 spots from the first to second round with a 3-under par 69 in the middle 18 holes while Grauman also posted an excellent score of 70.
Rounding out the lineup for SMC is Michael Slesinski (5-over), Blake Hathcoat (11-over), and Dylan VanderVeer (15-over). The Gaels finished 12-over as a team and were 12 strokes better in the second round than the first.
Unranked San Francisco leads all teams with a combined 1-under total and they own a one shot edge over No. 3 Arizona State. Saint Mary's is currently up on two ranked teams: 11th place Ole Miss (13-over) and 15th place No. 11 Arizona (18-over).
ASU's Cameron Sisk leads the medalist leaderboard with a 6-under total. San Francisco's Tim Wilding and Soren Lind trail by just one stroke while California's Kaiwen Liu and Davis Bryant from Colorado State round out the top-5.
