MORAGA, Calif. — With the November 10 National Signing Day in full swing, Saint Mary's Volleyball is making an addition for the 2022 season. Hailee Garcia has signed her NLI with Saint Mary's and will be joining Gaels Volleyball next season, adding more depth to an already deep Gaels squad.
 
Hailee Garcia comes from Syracuse, Utah, some six miles away from current SMC setter Alosina Thompson's hometown of Layton. Much like Thompson, Garcia has had a successful four-year career as a setter for the Titans, racking up over 3,000 career assists across four seasons (9.0 assists per set), holding the Syracuse High School program record with 3,311. The Titans took first place in the region during her freshman and senior seasons, and finished as high as third in the state in 2021. While full senior season awards are still to be determined, she has been named an AVCA All-American twice (including 2021), Utah State Region 1 MVP, 6A Deseret News Second Team All-State, and a four-time First Team All-Region student-athlete.

Saint Mary's has just four matches left in the 2021 indoor season, and is looking for its best WCC record and finish since the 2018 season when they went 11-7 in conference play. The Gaels are on the road Friday at Pacific before finishing the year with three-straight at home.
