MORAGA, Calif. — Women's soccer junior Kyllie Glock has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of April 5-11 after scoring the game-winning goal against Portland.
Glock was the difference maker in Saint Mary's 1-0 win over the Pilots on Saturday. In the 11th minute of play, she intercepted a pass deep in the Pilots' zone, took a few dribbles, and fired a shot into the low left corner for the eventual game-winner. It was the first goal of the season and second career score for the Fremont, Calif. native.
With the win, Saint Mary's has now achieved their best result in conference play since the 2003 season at 3-2-2.
The Gaels wrap up their regular season with a contest against Loyola Marymount at home this Saturday. The contest kicks off at 1 p.m. and can be seen on the WCC Network.
