1/27/2022 10:47:00 AM | Men's Basketball
MORAGA, Calif. — After the scheduled WCC opener between Saint Mary's Men's Basketball and San Francisco was postponed due to COVID-19 issues, both teams have announced a rescheduled date. The Gaels will host the Dons inside University Credit Union Pavilion on Thursday, February 17. This comes just two days before the Gaels host BYU.
The Gaels and Dons meet for the first time this season tonight, when SMC goes to San Francisco at 7:00 pm on Stadium. The highly-anticipated matchup between two Bay Area rivals should be one of the best games of the week in college basketball, as the two programs have combined for 31 wins this season. Saint Mary's has had a lot of recent success against San Francisco, winning 32 of the last 36 matchups.
With the game being rescheduled for February 17, a tip-off time and television network have not been announced. An announcement on what network will carry the new February 17 game, along with a tip-off time, will be made at a later date.
All fans who had tickets for the originally scheduled January 1 contest between Saint Mary's and San Francisco will have their tickets honored for the February 17 game.
A reminder to fans attending home games inside University Credit Union Pavilion this season, all fans over the age of 12 must show proof of vaccine or a negative Covid-19 test.
