MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball returns to home sand on Tuesday as they host a pair of matches against Feather River College and Sierra College. This precedes the annual West Coast Conference Midseason Invitational, set for Friday and Saturday in Santa Cruz. The schedule will be determined based off of play on Friday.

LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's went 4-1 last week, including one match at home against Pacific and four matches hosted by San Jose State. The lone loss of the week came at the hands of San Jose State, who bested the Gaels 3-2 on Friday afternoon. That aside, Saint Mary's scored wins in WCC play over Pacific and San Francisco, while earning non-conference wins over Sacramento State and Oregon. Their only 5-0 win came at home against Pacific, where the Gaels have not lost this season (2-0 at home). No pairs went 5-0 on the week, but Makenna Joyce/Karmin Brown and Chandler Cowell/Selbie Christensen each won their first four matches on the week.
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
Feather River College and Sierra College are both members of the CCCAA, and both will meet Saint Mary's on Tuesday in Moraga. Feather River is 6-2 on the young season while Sierra is 4-2. The weekend picks up with the WCC Midseason Invitational on Friday and Saturday, where Saint Mary's is likely to see a number of WCC opponents. They begin with San Francisco at 12:00 pm, and then the rest of their opponents are to be determined based on FIVB Pool Play. The Gaels will see either #18 Pepperdine or San Jose State later on Friday, and then can see any combination of #6 Loyola Marymount, Portland, Santa Clara, or Pacific on Saturday. Games begin on Saturday at 9:00 am.
