LAST TIME OUT
The Gaels finished out the month of March with their second race at Lake Natoma in as many weekends when they raced in the Hornet Invite. Facing UC San Diego and Kansas State, the Gaels showed major strides in their second race of the spring semester. In the morning, the Gaels V8 boats were both under the 8-minute mark, with the biggest improvement coming from their first V8 boat, which shaved 19 seconds off their time from one week ago when they finished in fourth at the Sacramento State Invite. The 2V8 boat was within one second of the mark they posted last week, and their V4 was within striking distance of their time from last week as well.
Â
In the afternoon, there might have been some fatigue setting in with two races in one day, but the Gaels still were steady with their times. Their V8 was still faster in the second race than their time from one week ago, and their 2V8 boat actually posted a faster time overall than their first race of the day.
