SAN MATEO, Calif. – The WCC released the regular season schedule for the 2022-23 Women's Basketball Season Tuesday morning, setting the Gaels conference dates for this season. 
 
Saint Mary's starts WCC play with three-straight road games, but play two straight at home to start the 2023 calendar year and have a stretch of four-straight home games in January.
 
The Gaels begin conference action on December 17 taking on Pacific in Stockton, Calif. They'll play the Toreros in San Diego on December 29 and then spend New Year's Eve in Provo, Utah for their final road game against BYU as a WCC opponent.
 
Their first WCC home game will be against LMU on January 5 and the first home Saturday WCC game is on January 7 against Pepperdine. Even their road games in January are local as they'll play at Santa Clara on January 12 and in San Francisco on the 14th.
 
That stretch of four-straight games at University Credit Union for the Gaels starts with Portland on January 19, finishes with San Diego on the 28th, and has defending WCC Tournament Champ Gonzaga on the 21st and regular-season champ BYU's last visit to SMC as a conference opponent on the 26th in the middle.

The Gaels will finish WCC play the same way they started it by taking on the Pacific tigers, this time in Moraga, Calif. on February 25. SMC was 9-9 in conference play last season, and 8-6 overall at home, before finishing the 2021-22 campaign by winning the Women's Basketball Invitational in Lexington, Ky.

On July 25, the Gaels announced their non-conference opponents and dates for 2022-23 and the full schedule can be seen HERE. The 2023 University Credit Union WCC Tournament will be held from March 2-7 in Las Vegas, Nev.
