MORAGA, Calif. – After an impressive 3-0 performance last Sunday against San Jose State, the Gaels look to maintain their positive momentum as they near closer to conference play. The Gaels will host Texas Tech on Sunday before they head to San Diego to face the Aztecs next Friday.

Last Time Out
After a tough 2-0 defeat to the Cal Bears at home, Saint Mary's bounced back in a big way by beating San Jose State 3-0 in their first away game of the season. The Gaels played a solid defensive match against the Bears, but their constant pressure was too much for Saint Mary's and they eventually found the back of the net twice late in the contest to beat SMC 2-0.
It was a completely different story for the Gaels when matched up against the Spartans, scoring twice within the first three minutes of the contest. Emily Jensen put on an offensive clinic, notching two goals and one assist, making it her fourth goal in four games for Saint Mary's. The Gaels notched their first away win of the season with a score of 3-0.
About Texas Tech
The Red Raiders come to Saint Mary's Stadium on Sunday following a 1-0 loss to the Washington Huskies last night. Last season, Texas Tech finished with a record of 11-6-3 overall and a 4-4-1 record in conference play. The Gaels and the Red Raiders have only met once before, when Texas Tech bested Saint Mary's 2-0 in 2011.
About San Diego State
The Aztecs host the Gaels next Friday following a draw to the neighboring San Diego Torero's. Last season, SDSU finished with an overall record of 7-11-2 and a conference record of 5-4-2. The Gaels and Aztecs have met twice previously, first in 2013 where San Diego won 1-0, and last year as well, where the Gaels bested the Aztecs 2-1.
