FRESNO, Calif. – The Saint Mary's Golf Team currently sits eighth of 16 teams at the Nick Watney Invitational and has the fourth-most pars made of any team at the tournament.
 
The Gaels have the third-most par threes made of the field as well, and have 29 birdies as team.
 
Connor Reis leads SMC with 142 strokes through two rounds on the par 71 Kings River Golf Course, after shooting a 70 in round one and a 72 in round two with eight birdies on the day.
 
Fellow sophomores Mitchell Hoey and Kristian Bressum are 1-under on par threes, while Bressum is 3-under and Reis is 2-under on par fives respectively.
 
Bressum is 10th overall in total pars made with 25. Jonathan Curran is right behind him with 24, and Hoey and freshman Aiden Lee are directly behind him with 23 total pars made.
