

GOLF | Round Two Suspended in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – Round two of the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate was suspended due to darkness just before 6:00 p.m. on Monday, with the Gaels off to a good start in the second round.
Saint Mary's finished round one in 13th place of 15 teams, but had climbed two spots to 11th with a handful of holes remaining in round two.
Connor Reis was 1-under par in round one, but was 3-under par through 13 holes of round two and worked his way up seven spots in the standings to 21st among 84 golfers.
Mitchell Hoey did the same through 13 holes of round two, going 3-under par after finishing even in round one, which lead to him climbing 27 spots in the standings to 35th overall.
SMC made 33 birdies through day one, and had Kristian Bressum make an eagle on hole 13.

Day two is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, picking up where teams left off in round two.
