MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's golf wraps up its fall schedule this week, with an exciting trip to Paradise Island, Bahamas for the prestigious White Sands Bahamas NCAA Invitational. For the fourth year, the annual golf tournament will be played at the Ocean Club Golf Course, Atlantis Paradise Island. The tournament was previously played at this golf course in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

The tournament will take place over three days, with 18 holes each day on Oct. 20-22. Santa Clara University will serve as the host school for the 54-hole competition.

The men's teams competing are Georgia State, Jacksonville State, North Alabama, North Texas, Santa Clara, Southern Illinois, Saint Mary's College, Wichita State and Wofford.

The men will play at 7,159 yards on the par 72 Ocean Club Golf Course, designed by past major champion Tom Weiskopf. Houston, Mississippi and Duke are past winners of the tournament.

Saint Mary's arrived in the Bahamas on Wednesday, in preparation for a practice round on Thursday, before the three-day tournament starts on Friday.

Saint Mary's is coming off a first-place finish at the Nick Watney Invitational, shooting 36-under-par for the victory, followed up by a fourth place finish at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational, where they shot 30-under-par.

The Gaels traveled
Kristian Bressum,
Connor Reis,
Aidan Lee,
Mitchell Hoey and
Jack Jerge in the five team spots. Seniors
Jonathan Curran and
Zack Missigman will travel and compete as individuals in the tournament.

In back-to-back tournaments, the Gaels have had record-low rounds recorded, first by Reis with a 62 at the Nick Watney Invitational, followed by Bressum last week with a 62 at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational.

This is the Gaels first appearance at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Invitational.
