GOLF | Regular Season Wraps at Ping Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah – Saint Mary's Golf will wrap up their regular season schedule by taking part in the Ping Cougar Classic hosted by BYU from April 21-23.
THE FIELD
Along with the host BYU, Saint Mary's will compete against Boise State, Cal Baptist, Colorado, CSUN, Denver, Gonzaga, Nevada, New Mexico State, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, Wyoming, and Hawaii.
LAST TIME OUT
Kristian Bressum and Connor Reis led the Gaels at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial hosted by the University of Virginia. Bressum shot a 69 in round three on the par-71 course, bringing him to 214 strokes overall for the tournament, tied with fellow sophomore Reis who was 1-under par on the final day to finish at 214 strokes.
Reis finished even on par threes which put him in the top 10 of 78 golfers, Bressum finished even on par fours, and led the Gaels in total pars made with 35. Saint Mary's as a team climbed up to 10th of 15th teams from 11th with a good final round.
ABOUT THE PING COUGAR CLASSIC
Currently, the first and second rounds will be played continuously beginning with a 8:00 a.m. PDT shotgun due to forecasted rain. If weather permits, first round tee-times will be from 8:00-10:00 a.m. off the 1st and 10th tees. The second round will follow with tee times from 1:00-3:00 p.m. MDT.
The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. PDT. If weather permits, tee times will be sent out Friday night following the second round.
Riverside Golf Course is set for a par-72 course at 7,142 yards.
