SURPRISE, Ariz. - As the Saint Mary's men's golf team prepares for the 2025 spring season, they continue to see quality individual finishes in amateur events throughout the winter break. Senior Zack Missigman added his name to that list Tuesday afternoon with a t-6th place finish at the 2024 Thunderbolt Invitational hosted at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club. 

The Arizona native led the three-round event after Sunday's opening round with an impressive 66 (-6) performance that featured seven birdies and just one bogey. He would conclude the tournament with back-to-back rounds of even par to remain at 6-under and finish in a tie for 6th place with two others golfers from LMU and TCU. His 6-under opening round stood as the tournament low for the week as only him and Cole Rueck from Boise State hit that mark in the entire field. 

Missigman was a regular starter for the Gaels during the 2024 fall season, competing in all five events and finishing inside the top-25 four times. Full tournament results for the 2024 Thunderbolt Invitational can be found HERE.   

Saint Mary's will kickoff their spring season on February 3rd in the National Invitational Tournament hosted by the University of Arizona. The full 2025 schedule can be found at smcgaels.com.
