SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Women's Cross Country team has tied their best record of two Gaels earning a spot on the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team since 2015. Sophomore
Eleanor Jepsen and grad student
Emily Field received a spot for their hard work both on and off the field, followed by four other Gaels being named to the honorable mention list.
Jepsen was one of the Gaels top-3 runners, earning her personal best time at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. She improved her 6K PR time from last year's Bronco Invitational by 21.6 seconds for a best of 21:14.4. While being a crucial runner for the team, the sophomore has maintained a 4.0 GPA while studying chemistry. Field also contributed to the Gaels this season, as she scored in the final four races for Saint Mary's while earning her masters in business administration and holding a 4.0 GPA.
The four other Gael's who received Honorable Mention were:
- Kaylee Barnes (JR) holds a 3.35 GPA as a health science major
- Lauren Buckley (SR) maintains a 3.83 GPA as a JCLMSTE major
- Klara Frih (SR) has a 3.57 GPA and studies communications
- Anna Ranieri (SR) holds a 3.77 GPA as a business administration major
