SAN DIEGO - Saint Mary's Golf's Kristian Bressum finished tied for 12th among 95 golfers while Connor Reis finished 4-under in round three to climb into the top 25 at 23rd overall.
It was a thrilling finale at the 2024 Lamkin Invitational hosted at the San Diego Country Club, the Saint Mary's Gaels showcased their competitive spirit against a strong field of sixteen teams. SMC was tied for the second-best conversion rate of par fours at 2-over, and were fourth in total pars made.
Bressum was tied for third in total pars made with 39. He finished with 10 birdies, while Reis and Aidan Lee had 11, and Mitchell Hoey made an eagle on the eighth hole of round three.
In today's final round, the team collectively shot an impressive -8 to secure an 8th place finish at 10-under par. Noteworthy performances from Reis and Hoey, who each shot 4-under 68s, played a pivotal role in leading the team in the closing stages.
Reis finished T23 at -2, while Hoey secured a T47 finish at +2. Overall, Kristian Bressum emerged as a standout for the Gaels, posting a five-under-par total score and finishing tied for 12th.
The team standings were closely contested, but it was San Diego that claimed the team title with an impressive score of -22. Additionally, individual honors went to San Diego's Craig Ronne, who captured the medalist title with a final score of -12.

Looking ahead, the Gaels are set to continue their spring season as they head to Pauma Valley, California, for the Pauma Valley Invitational hosted by LMU on March 18 and 19.
