GOLF | Trio of Gaels Earn Honorable Mention WCC All-Academic Honors

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — As announced by the West Coast Conference, three Gaels have been named honorable mention members of the WCC All-Academic Team, as Kristian Bressum, Mitchell Hoey and Aidan Lee were all recognized.
Junior Kristian Bressum has been one of the Gaels top golfers in every tournament this season. The Randers, Denmark native is majoring in computer science, and holds a 3.31 GPA. Bressum boasts three top-10 finishes this season, including fourth place finishes at the Island Resort Intercollegiate and the Alister MacKenzie Invitational.
Another junior, Mitchell Hoey has golfed in 10 of 12 events for the Gaels this season. Hailing from nearby Alamo, Hoey holds a 3.38 GPA as a business major. His best performance of the season saw him finish fourth at the Nick Watney Invitational, where he shot a three round total of -11.
Rounding out the group is sophomore Aidan Lee. Appearing in 11 of 12 tournaments for the Gaels this season, Lee has picked up a pair of top-10 finishes. The Southern California product originally hails from Pasadena, and owns a 3.23 GPA as a business major. Lee finished in seventh place this season in both the Island Resort Intercollegiate and the Wyoming Cowboy Classic.
Kristian, Mitchell, Aidan and the rest of the Gaels will be in action this weekend in the WCC Championship Tournament, set to start Friday at 7 AM.
