TEMPE, Ariz. - The Saint Mary's Women's Tennis team stood out this past season both on and off the court as the Gaels were named an All-Academic Team once again, followed by six student-athletes named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the program must meet the following requirements:
- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
In order to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
The six Gaels who were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete award are:
- Juliette Daries
- Madison Weekley
- Sofia Daryaie
- Stefanie Silva
- Tian Yu Dong
- Jamie Pope
Saint Mary's Women's Tennis will continue to put in the work as they look to start their fall season shortly.
