WTEN | Saint Mary’s Falls to UC Davis to Conclude Weekend

DAVIS, Calif. - Saint Mary's went to UC Davis to conclude their two-match weekend but fell in straight sets, 7-0 to the Aggies. Sofia Daryaie and Tiana Fox were competitive again in doubles play but fell on a tiebreaker, 7-5, to Polina Marakhtanova and Mika Ikemori. Sophie Stanton and first-year Gael Sydney Wilson also teamed up in doubles action, falling 6-2 to Aileena Hu and Kaia Wolfe.
Fox also took the court in singles action but fell in a dramatic three set match in the number three singles position. Sophie Stanton also dropped a tough match at the number six spot, 6-4 7-6 (7-5). Saint Mary's fell to 1-5 in the spring season but will head down to Fresno next week for another pair of matches against Stanislaus State and Fresno State.
