LAST TIME OUT (9th place at The Tindall)
Saint Mary's has had a common trend in their first two events of the season, slow starts but strong finishes. The Gaels placed ninth last week at The Tindall hosted by the University of Washington. They shaved off four strokes as a team from round one to round two and then got off to a blistering start in the final round with birdies in five of their first six holes.
As a team, the Gaels got as low as 5-under-par on the day but slipped back to even par by the end of the round with some costly bogeys and a pair of doubles on the tail end of the front nine. They would hold steady in the nine spot with another round of even par to finish ahead of tournament host Washington.
This week, head coach Scott Hardy makes just one change to the team's starting five from last week as Utah transfer Go Nakatsukasa takes over the fifth spot to compete in his second event of the year. Connor Reis, Aidan Lee, Avery Lazarski and Zack Missigman have all been staples thus far being in the starting lineup for all three events to start the season.
