Box Score MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team hosted Big West member UC Davis for their first home dual match of the spring season.
Iman Khan and
Tiana Fox got the day started with a 6-2 doubles win over Daisy Maunupau and Solia Valentine but the doubles point would eventually go to UC Davis after the Gaels dropped the next two matches.
Olivia Rook and
MiaAngelina Ruja dropped an intense doubles match, 6-7 (10-12), to give the Aggies the early 1-0 match advantage.
As the match moved into singles play,
Iman Khan would secure another win in straight sets, 6-4 6-4, over Mika Ikemori to finish the day undefeated with a singles and doubles victory.
Olivia Rook and
Stefanie Silva would record the other singles wins for the Gaels and in dramatic fashion. Rook won in three sets while Silva won the tiebreaker in the second set 7-2 to clinch her win.
UC Davis's Penelope Wong would come from behind though to win back-to-back sets and take down
Tiana Fox to earn another point for the Aggies. UC Davis would go on to seal the match day win with two more singles victories over
MiaAngelina Ruja and
Juliette Daries, finishing 4-3 on the day. A wild 12-10 tiebreaker in the doubles match with Ruja and Rook proved to be influential on the day and the Gaels also led in four of the six singles matches but failed to hold off the Aggies for the win.

LOOKING AHEAD
Saint Mary's will continue their non-conference schedule next week with a two-match road trip in Hawaii. They will take on Division II member Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday before battling the University of Hawaii on Thursday to end their road trip.
