MORAGA, Calif. — After pulling off the reverse sweep at home against Seattle U (6-14, 0-9 WCC) a week ago, the Gaels (7-13, 5-4 WCC) will once again see the Redhawks, this time in hostile territory, as Saint Mary's makes their first ever trek to the Redhawks Center in program history. The Gaels are 4-0 all-time against Seattle U, with all four of those wins coming inside the friendly confines of UCU Pavilion.

FORTITUDE
Over their current five game winning streak, four of these victories have seen the Gaels erase a one set or more deficit, giving them five total come-from-behind wins out of their seven total victories. This is the most come-from-behind victories for a Gaels squad since 2018, when they had six. That season, the Gaels went 19-10 and was the last time they earned an NCAA Tournament berth.
COACHES CORNER
ABOUT THE REDHAWKS
A week ago, coming into UCU Pavilion, Seattle U had dropped 10 in a row, but still managed to push the Gaels to the brink, going ahead 2-0 before suffering a reverse sweep to their hosts. Two days later, the Redhawks also went ahead 2-1 against Santa Clara before the Broncos also pulled off a come-from-behind win. The Redhawks are very loudly knocking on the door of their first WCC win, but so far, nobody has answered. Second year Head Coach Dan Behnke will look to guide the Redhawks to their first couple of WCC wins, as he needs just two more to match his total from year one at the helm. In their last meeting, Seattle U had success feeding their star sophomore outside hitter Madyn Cervellera, who tallied 20 kills on 50 swings, more than double her next closest teammate. Cervellera also finished with 11 digs for her then eighth double-double. She also logged one against Santa Clara, now sitting with nine. The Gaels and Redhawks have met four times previously in program history, with all four matches going the way of the Gaels, however, this is the first time Saint Mary's will make the trek up to Seattle to take on the Redhawks.
