Box Score MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's fought tooth and nail in a back and forth match against Sacramento State but the Hornets edged the Gaels with a three-set win to clinch the 4-2 victory. The Gaels are now 2-2 in the spring season and will travel to San Jose State next Friday for their fifth match of the season.
Olivia Rook was 2-0 on the day with a doubles and a singles match win.
Stefanie Silva had the other singles point for Saint Mary's with a straight sets victory over Palina Saulevich.
The entire day featured several tightly contested matches. Saint Mary's nearly grabbed the doubles point as
Juliette Daries and
Stefanie Silva dropped the deciding point on a tiebreaker. The Hornets went on to win two of their three singles matches in three sets to secure the 4-2 match victory.
