WTEN | Grueling Match Ends in 3-4 Gaels Defeat to Bulldogs on Sunday

MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's battled their way through a grueling four hour match Sunday afternoon and fell 4-3 to Fresno State to drop to 2-3 overall on the spring season. The Gaels took the doubles point with wins from Madison Weekley/Olivia Rook and Juliette Daries/Stefanie Silva but dropped four of the six singles matches in the afternoon.

Three of the six matches required a third set as Daries was the lone victor in such matches, defeating Charlotte Gisclon, 3-6 6-0 6-1. Stefanie Silva won the other singles match for Saint Mary's in straight sets. She found herself down 2-5 in the second set but battled back to win in the tiebreaker 7-6.
