

MXC | Key Returners and Exciting Newcomers Set to Debut at Kim Duyst Invitational

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Men's Cross Country team is set to run at the Kim Duyst Invitational on Saturday, September 13th, looking to build on their performance at the USF Invitational.
Leading the way for Gaels at USF was freshman Jackson Woolf who finished with a time of 26:13.9 in his first collegiate race. Close behind, Andrew Perez, who is in his second season with the Gael's, finished the race in 26:27.3 after jumping ahead 52 places in the final 2k of the race. Rounding off the scoring for the Gael's were freshman Luke Davis, Jacob Schuetze, and Nick Shoemaker.
Preparing to run at the Kim Duyst Invitational are graduate student veterans Zane Jackson, Oisin Spillane, Jon Fielding Stogner, and Foster Wilfong. Joining them will be seniors Anthony Erikson, Jason Habash, Eric Martinez, and Noah Pagaran. For the junior class Sam Andersen, Divan Du Plooy, Luther Hart, Jacob Moffett, and Diego Uridales will take on the course. Finally representing the sophomores in Ceres are Aidan Doherty and Andrew Perez. Divan Pu Plooy has the best career 8k time of these runners with a time of 23:15.2. at the NJCAA Region V Championships back in 2023, while Zane Jackson will make his season debut after being the Gaels top finisher in every race he competed in last year.
Stanislaus State will be hosting the Kim Duyst Invitational on September 13th at the River Oaks Golf Course in Ceres, CA. The course features mostly grass, with a smaller portion on dirt. The men will complete a total of four 2k loops.
