MORAGA, Calif. — With the first season in program history approaching, Saint Mary's Women's Water Polo has officially started to welcome its first recruiting class set to make their debut in the 2027 season. The Gaels' first four signees, Riley Andres, Reagan Eisberg, Ingrid Rodríguez, and Maja Ardó bring plenty of talent and experience to the team.
Riley Andres joins Saint Mary's from Pompano Beach, Florida, where she competed at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. A four-year varsity athlete in both water polo and swimming, Andres also played at the club level as a utility player for South Florida Water Polo Club and Asphalt Green Water Polo. Throughout her career, the incoming Gael has received a number of awards. In 2025, Andres received two player of the year awards; the Miami Herald Water Polo Player of the Year and Sun Sentinel Water Polo Player of the Year. She was also named to the Miami Herald All-County team and Sun Sentinel All-County team in both 2023 and 2024. In the 2023 season, Andres received the Nick Johnson Inspiration Award.
Incoming freshman Reagan Eisberg comes to Moraga from West Sacramento after a standout career at River City High School, participating in varsity water polo and swimming for all four years. Eisberg also played at the club level as both an attacker and utility player for the American River Water Polo Club. Over her time competing, she has received a number of MVP awards, including the Monticello Empire League Most Valuable Player in both 2025 and 2024, River City High School Most Valuable Player in 2025 and 2024, and American River WPC Most Outstanding Player for 16Us in 2024. Additionally, Eisberg was named to the CIF Sac-Joaquin All-Section Team in 2025 and 2024 and the Sacramento Metropolitan League 1st Team All-League in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, she was the leading national girls water polo goal scorer per MaxPreps, tallying 201 and 209 goals respectively
Arriving to the Gaels from Barberà del Vallés, Spain, left-handed driver Ingrid Rodríguez brings ten years of water polo experience with her. For the past two seasons, while competing for Club Natació Sabadell, Rodríguez and her team competed in the under-18 BIWPA Next Generation Cup. She was named the tournament MVP in the 2025-2026 season. That same year, CN Sabadell became the Senior Spanish Super Cup Champions. For three consecutive seasons, her team won the Catalonia State Championships. For the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons, Rodríguez was named the Regular League Goal Scorer.
Maja Ardó comes to the Gaels from Budapest, Hungary bringing seven years of water polo experience. As a center, Ardó competed for FTC Telekom, where she found success at the national level. Her under-18 team won third place in the Hungarian Championship, while her under-16 team placed second.
All of the experience from each of these athletes highlights an exciting first season ahead for the Women's Water Polo program.
