Dent Captures Third Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week Honor

MORAGA, Calif. — After a week that featured two Gael wins and his first collegiate double-double, Sophomore point guard Joshua Dent has been named this week's Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week. This is Dent's third time winning this award this year, making him the first Gael to do so since Jaden De Souza of the Women's Track team.

Dent opened his week with one of the best performances of his young career, leading the Gaels with 16 points, and adding 11 assists for his first collegiate double-double in a 30 point victory over Oregon State. The Wollongong, NSW, Australia native shot 6-9 from the field, including a pair of threes. He followed that up with a full 40 minutes performance at Portland, going for 13 points and seven dimes, shooting 3-5 from beyond the arc. His 18 assists over the two game stretch were his most in that span for his collegiate career.
