Game one vs. San Jose State is set to resume Friday at 12:30 p.m.
MORAGA, Calif. - Game one of the two-game home series with San Jose State was suspended due to darkness with the game tied at four after 12 innings of play. Both teams will return to Br. Ronald Gallagher Stadium on Friday to resume the contest with first pitch slated for 12:30 p.m. Game two of the series will start at 2:00 p.m. or approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one, which ever occurs first.
Saint Mary's took it's first lead of the ballgame with a three-run eighth inning highlighted by a go-ahead two-RBI single from Tanner Griffith. San Jose State got a two-out RBI hit of its own though in the top of the ninth to tie the game at four and force extras. Three additional innings have been played with no score as the two teams will resume the game tied at four starting at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
