WWP | Saint Mary’s Women’s Water Polo Welcomes Second Transfer: Laine Woodard

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's women's water polo has added its second transfer for the program's first season, utility player Laine Woodard.

Woodard joins the Gaels after playing two seasons at San Joaquin Delta College. Over her two years there, Woodard tallied 94 goals, 18 assists, and 60 steals. She ranked first on her team and tied for eighth in the Big 8 conference in goals scored last year. During her time competing for Lodi High School, Woodard tallied 75 goals and 23 assists.

Throughout her career, the Lodi native earned California Community College Athletic Association All-American recognition twice, along with CCCAA Swimming and Diving All-American honors twice.

Woodard becomes the second transfer to join Saint Mary's ahead of the program's inaugural season, alongside fellow community college transfer Brooke Boyer. Her collegiate experience will help strengthen the Gaels' roster as the team approaches its season.
