

WWP | Gaels Add Third Transfer for Women’s Water Polo’s Inaugural Season, Brianna Smyth

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's women's water polo has added its third transfer, signing center Brianna Smyth out of Diablo Valley College.
Smyth joins the Gaels after spending two seasons at DVC. In the 2025-2026 season, Smyth was ranked second on her team, scoring 52 goals, while also earning second-team All-NorCal and All-American honors.
Smyth spent her prep career at Berkeley High School. During her senior year, she was ranked 61st nationally and 40th in California in goals scored, tallying 72 on the season.
Smyth becomes the third transfer for the Gaels, joining teammates Laine Woodard and Brooke Boyer. With her collegiate experience, Smyth will look to have an early impact on Saint Mary's inaugural season.
