WWP | Saint Mary’s Women’s Water Polo Welcomes Transfer Utility Player, Claire Daland

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's women's water polo has welcomed its most recent addition, transfer utility player Claire Daland.
Daland comes to the Gaels after spending a season at Cal Lutheran and two seasons at Santa Barbara City College prior to that.
As a freshman at Santa Barbara, Daland earned first-team All-Western State Conference, first-team all-state and first-team all-American. Her team also won the 3C2A state champion, as she was recognized as Santa Barbara's player of the year.
During her sophomore season at Santa Barbara, Daland's team repeated as 3C2A champs. That same year, she once again earned first team all-conference, all-state and all-American honors, and was named the California player of the year for women's water polo.
While competing at Agoura High School during her senior season, Daland was honored as a first team All-CIF team member.
Daland joins her sister, Cate Daland, and the growing team for Saint Mary's, and will look to have an immediate impact on the Gaels inaugural season.
