MTEN | Gaels Fall to No. 16 San Diego to End SoCal Road Trip

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team completed its Southern California road trip 1-1 after suffering a 4-0 defeat to 16th ranked San Diego.
The Gaels have had quite the start to West Coast Conference action, facing off against three of the top teams ranked inside the top-60, including No. 25 Pepperdine, No. 58 LMU and now No. 16 San Diego. Sophomore Finn Dyer took USD's Adrien Berrut to three sets in an unfinished match, 0-6 6-4 2-1, as the Gaels' most competitive match of the day.
Saint Mary's will return to the Bay Area to conclude the weekend, taking on Santa Clara on Saturday at 1 p.m. The match with the Broncos will complete a grueling five-game week for Saint Mary's dating back to last Saturday in its WCC opener against 25th ranked Pepperdine.
