SB | WCC Pitcher of the Year Odhi Vasquez Earns NFCA Second Team All-West Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Arguably the best pitcher ever to don a Saint Mary's Uniform, Odhi Vasquez continues to add to her impressive list of accolades, being named a NFCA second team All-West Region honoree. This is the second NFCA All-Region honor earned by Vasquez, who was named a third team honoree in 2024. Vasquez is also the first ever second team All-West Region honoree for the Gaels after both her and Sam Buckley (2025) earned third team honors over the past three seasons.
No Gael in program history has recorded as many wins in the circle as Odhi Vasquez. The Upland, California native has amassed a record of 50-25 in her career, including a 19-4 record this year. Vasquez finished out the 2026 regular season by leading the West Coast Conference in wins (19), saves (7), complete games (13), strikeouts (141), ERA (2.36) and WHIP (1.23), earning her second career WCC Pitcher of the Year honor. Led by Vasquez, the Gaels went 40-14 and won the WCC for a third consecutive year. She also became just the second ever student-athlete in WCC history to earn four all-conference nods in four years.
Vasquez will have the opportunity to add to her incredible numbers, as the Gaels will open up play in the 2026 NCAA Regionals tomorrow in Eugene, Oregon, taking on Mississippi State at 4:30 p.m.
