SB | Gaels Finish Atop 2025-26 DI-AAA ADA Standings in Softball

CLEVELAND — As just announced by the DI-AAA Athletic Directors Association, the Saint Mary's Softball program topped the institutional standings for DI-AAA softball programs in points amassed toward the All-Sports trophy. This is the second consecutive year that a Saint Mary's athletic program has been recognized with this distinction, with the men's basketball team earning this recognition last year.
Saint Mary's Softball is coming off of a record-breaking 2026 campaign, in which the program won the West Coast Conference title for the third consecutive season, amassing a program-record 42 wins. The success did not end in the regular season, however, as the Gaels won a pair of games at the NCAA Eugene Regional, knocking out both Idaho State and host Oregon to punch their ticket to their first ever NCAA Regional Final. On top of the team accolades, nine different individual program records were either tied or broken, headlined by 21 wins in the circle from Odhi Vasquez, 50 runs scored by Hannah Ferguson and 54 runs driven in by Braxton Brown.
Now in its 26th year, the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association's mission is to enhance initiatives common to its Division I-AAA membership (the 98 Division I institutions that do not sponsor football). The DI-AAA ADA All-Sports Trophy is awarded to the institution that has the highest point total in all sports in which at least 25% of the eligible I-AAA membership sponsor the given sport. This currently includes the following 21 sports: Baseball, Men's & Women's Basketball, Men's & Women's Cross Country, Men's & Women's Golf, Men's & Women's Lacrosse, Men's & Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving, Men's & Women's Tennis, Men's & Women's Indoor Track, Men's & Women's Outdoor Track and Women's Volleyball.
