BVB | Randi Reeves Adds Experience to 2027 Gaels Beach Volleyball Roster

MORAGA, Calif. — After a record-breaking 2026 season, the Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball program and Head Coach Janice Harrer are already hard at work building their 2027 roster. With that in mind, Coach Harrer has added her first piece out of the transfer portal, with the signing of a familiar face, Randi Reeves, who will make the short trek to Moraga from San Jose State.
Reeves originally hails from West Jordan, Utah and prepped at Copper Hills High School. After breaking her high school's all-time digs record, Reeves opted to continue her playing career at Salt Lake Community College, where she played two seasons each for the indoor and beach programs for the Bruins. On the sand, Reeves played primarily in the top flight for the SLCC, while on the hardwood, she played as her team's starting libero for both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, tallying 770 digs and 72 aces in 57 matches. In her time with the Bruins, her team won a pair of Scenic West League titles, a pair of Region 18 titles, and twice finished in the top-six at NJCAA nationals.
After an incredible career at Salt Lake, Reeves decided her next stop for collegiate volleyball would be in Silicon Valley for the Spartans of San Jose State. Like during her time at Salt Lake, Reeves played for both the indoor and beach teams for the Spartans. On the hardwood, Reeves tallied 391 digs in two seasons, but it was on the sand where she truly shined, winning 23 matches in her two years and earning second team All-Southland conference honors as a junior. Reeves saw time in the one, two and three flights, but primarily played at the twos, where she notched 21 of her 22 wins. No stranger to the Gaels, Reeves appeared in six matches against Saint Mary's while competing with the Spartans.
With the graduation of seven key players from last year's roster, Reeves will bring a veteran leadership that the Gaels will certainly look to utilize in her first season in Moraga.
