Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2017-18): Named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team ... Led the WCC in field-goal percentage at 60.8 percent while also finishing among the top-10 in scoring (6th, 15.3 ppg) and rebounding (9th, 7.3 rpg) ... Tallied seven double-doubles with 24 double-figure scoring games, six 20-plus-point games and 17 15-plus-point games ... Joined the 1,000 career points club on Feb. 22 at Pepperdine when she scored a career-high 30 points in the Gaels' 82-75 victory ... Two-time WCC Player of the Week: Nov. 6-12, averaged 19.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg in two games versus No.20/25 California and Washington State to open the season, and Feb. 5-11 after back-to-back double-doubles vs. Loyola Marymount and then at WCC leader Gonzaga.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Name an All-WCC Honorable Mention ... Averaged 10.7 points and 7.8 rebounds (fourth in WCC) per game while shooting a team- and WCC-best 55.7 percent from the field ... Scored in double-digits in 20 out of 33 games played and tallied up three 20+-point games ... Earned a team-high nine double-doubles ... Recorded back-to-back double-doubles with a career-high 25 points and 12 rebounds against Boise State (Nov. 25) and followed that up with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Utah (Nov. 26) ... Racked up 14 boards and 10 points against BYU in the semi-final game of the WCC Tournament ... Recorded 11 games with 10+ rebounds and set a career-high of 16 rebounds twice during the season ... Second on the team with 32 steals and finished the season with 20 blocks.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16): Recorded a field-goal percentage of .619, setting a single-season record at Saint Mary's ... Averaged nearly 7.4 points and nearly six rebounds per game … Continued to improve as the season progresses … Had 12 games scoring in double figures and two double-doubles … Has grabbed at least 10 rebounds five times this season … Had a career-high 18 points and five boards in a win at Santa Clara ... Tallied a career-high 12 rebounds in the overtime loss to UC Davis.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: In addition to playing with Perry Lake in the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL), McKay played with Australia U18s, twice, doing so because she made the team as a bottom age kid ... She was very impressive in the 2014 U18s, averaging 20.0 ppg and 14.6 rpg ... Her rebounding total led the tournament ... She led her WA Metro squad in the paint with rebounding and scoring inside ... McKay has also been a member of the West Coast Waves Academy, the team that trains with the senior squad during the WNBL season ... The WNBL team features former SMC Gael Louella Tomlinson.
