The mission of the Gael Athletic Scholarship Fund is to fund grants-in-aid for academically and athletically qualified student-athletes at Saint Mary's College and to create and sustain enthusiastic support among alumni, parents, and friends of Gael Athletics.
Currently, Saint Mary's offers approximately 94 athletic grants-in-aid ($2,791,800) each year to qualified student-athletes.
- The institution funds about 68.75 grants-in-aid ($2,041,875) through a general allocation to athletics.
- An additional 18.25 athletic grants-in-aid ($542,025) are fund raised on an annual basis.
- The remaining seven ($207,900) are funded through annual earnings on endowed funds.
A successful effort was implemented four years ago to add an additional 18.25 grants-in-aid. Each year, the Gael Athletic Scholarship Fund is raising money to fund these additional grants for the following school year. Prior to June 30, we must achieve our fund raising goal of $585,000 to fund our scholarship commitment for the 2002-03 year.
If you have already made a gift this year to the Gael Athletic Scholarship Fund, THANK YOU! If you have not, we encourage you to do so by using the link above titled How to Make a Gift. Our student-athletes appreciate and value your support of our grant-in-aid program.
Go Gaels!
