Special Events
More than $2.7 million is spent annually on athletic scholarships at Saint Mary's. Athletic endowment income and gifts to the Gael Athletic Scholarship Fund help offset the costs of funding these scholarships. Proceeds raised from special events make up a significant portion of the College's annual athletic fund-raising total. The fund-raising special events are the Saint Mary's Adult Challenge (SMAC) Tennis Tournament, the Northern and Southern California Gael Classic Invitational Golf Tournaments, the Homecoming Scholarship Drawing and the Luxury Car Drawing.
