Emily DeMots joins the Saint Mary's Volleyball staff in 2022 as the Director of Volleyball Operations, beginning in the spring semester of the 2021-22 school year. DeMots has strong ties to the West Coast Conference, and to Saint Mary's in the form of her playing career, and her family.
DeMots enjoyed a three-year playing career at the University of Portland, where she learned under former Gael great and current head coach, Megan Burton. DeMots also played under a former Gael assistant coach in Brent Crouch. Her career was cut short after a career-ending injury, but she continued at Portland and graduated in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Finance. After volleyball and while finishing her studies, she worked in the athletics department at Portland and assisted in travel logistics, as well as student-athlete development in her role as Student Assistant for Business Operations.
DeMots is actively pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at Saint Mary's College. Her sister also attended Saint Mary's College.
