MORAGA, Calif. – Sophomore tennis player Boris Reckow has been named Saint Mary’s Student Athlete of the Week following a strong performance in their first competition of the spring.
The Gaels faced off against Sacramento State last Sunday and claimed the doubles point with wins from their top two doubles tandems. James Watt and Boris Reckow paired up on Court 1 for a convincing 6-1 win. Following the doubles win, Reckow would get SMC rolling in singles action with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 6 slot.
Reckow and the Saint Mary's tennis team are scheduled to compete in their next match on Feb. 3 against Hawaii Pacific in Honolulu. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
