
Men's Tennis Team Earns Win Over San Francisco

Moraga, CA (February 7) - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team rolled to a much deserved first win. The Gaels beat the Dons of San Francisco by the final score of 6-1. The men dominated both singles and doubles play to win the match. The Gaels have had some strong showings in the past, but were still without a victory until the victory over San Francisco.
The Gaels dominated all facets of play on Monday, winning both the doubles and singles portion to win the match 6-1. Individual winners were Richard Thomson over Christian Dyvik, in the number one spot. Tomas Filipcik over Mike Munson in the number two spot. Arvind Stokes over Ryan Eakes in the number four spot. Thomas Burgermeister over Erik Kjensrud in the number five spot. And, Deryk Inn over Rob Estrella in the number six spot. In doubles play, Thomson and Garza defeated White and Dyvik, and Filipcik and Burgermeister defeated Eakes and Munson to win the doubles point.
The Gaels will next be in action on Saturday, February 12, at the University of the Pacific at noon.
