
Aude Lambert Ranked No. 28 Regionally

Moraga, CA- Women's tennis sophomore Aude Lambert is ranked No. 28 in singles in the ITA Region VIII rankings as posted on December 1. The region includes players from Stanford, California, Washington, and Oregon among other schools.
Lambert is coming off a season where she finished with 12 victories at the No. 1 singles position as a freshman. She was the lone Gael to nab a postseason accolade when she was named All-WCC Honorable Mention. Lambert helped guide the Gaels to a fifth place WCC finish, Saint Mary's best finish since the 2001 season.
In the 2004 fall season, Lambert earned two straight-set victories in the Cal Poly Invitational. Lambert defeated Cal Poly's Chelsy Thompson 6-2, 6-2 and UC Santa Barbara's Muriel Gruenig 6-0, 7-6. Lambert also earned a victory in the first round of the ITA Women's Regional at Stanford. She defeated Pacific's Christie Feyen in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.
At the SMC Invitational, Lambert earned two victories to advance to the round of 16 before falling to No. 20-ranked Lucia Sainz of Fresno State. In the opening round she defeated Cal's Brooke Borisoff 6-7(3), 6-2, 7-5 and then later defeated Cal's Tiffany Lee 6-2, 7-5 in flight A action.
