Moraga, CA- The Saint Mary's men's tennis team will get the opportunity to play Team Great Britain on Saturday, March 27 at noon at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex. Saint Mary's will be just one of many West Coast stops for Team Great Britain as they will also face other collegiate teams such as Stanford, Cal, Pepperdine, UCLA, and USC.
"It's a great experience for our lads," men's tennis coach Michael Wayman said. "It's nice to have an international team come in and play, it will be a lot of fun."
Team Great Britain coached by John Whiteford is comprised of the eight best collegiate players in the United Kingdom, all of whom have professional experience. Colleges represented on Team Great Britain are Loughborough, Bath, and Stirling among others.
This is the third trip of its kind for Team Great Britain and its second appearance to the Saint Mary's campus. Last year Team Great Britain didn't lose a match in its trip west.
