Moraga, CA - Saint Mary's softball's opening game will have to wait one more day, as their game against the Sonoma State Seawolves has been cancelled. Sonoma State was forced to cancel their match-up against the Gaels due to a scheduling conflict.
"We are disappointed that we are no longer able to open the season at home," said Head Coach Jessica Hanaseth. "The team is anxious to get on the field and compete. They have worked hard in the pre-season, and they are ready to play against some new faces."
Saint Mary's will now open the 2008 season in Stockton, CA as they face the Pacific Tigers. The first pitch of the double-header is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
